The Immigration and Population Growth Branch of the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration collects the personal information provided on the digital application form as authorised by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the Nova Scotia Public Service Act.

It is the candidate's responsibility to ensure their dependents are aware of the contents of this Privacy Notice. In addition, if a representative is submitting this application on behalf of the candidate, it is their responsibility to ensure the candidate has reviewed the complete application before it is submitted.

We make use of personal information that has been provided to us:

• To identify individual candidates and determine their program eligibility.
• To provide an online service, process applications, and respond to requests.
• When necessary, for correspondence.
• As part of the eligibility requirement, information about accompanying family members will be used to identify and process them alongside the principal applicant.
• To verify and validate any information, statements, declarations, or documents provided, as well as ensure program integrity as part of the assessment, review and approval process.
• To provide periodic information and reporting to our federal partner (Canada) as requested and required, thereby implementing the program in accordance with the enabling provincial and federal legislation or prescribed regulations/directives, as well as any information sharing agreement, to ensure effective and efficient program administration and overall program integrity.

We use and disclose personal information for the purposes described above. We may only use or disclose personal information for another purpose if we are authorized by law to do so.

By submitting your application or making any other request to us (by contacting us via any of our official channels), you acknowledge that you understand the collection, use and disclosure of any personal information you provide to us is for the purpose of processing your application or request.
